16×76 5-Bed, 5-Bath Crew Unit (Shared Kitchen)

Specs checked 2026-10-19 · Crew unit · Ask for current availability

Five lockable rooms, each with its own bath and PTAC, built around one shared full kitchen. The standard bunkhouse for crews that cook and eat together. Five people get private sleeping space and a private shower while sharing one kitchen, which keeps the kitchen count (and the cost per bed) down.

16×76 ft layout with 5 private rooms and 5 baths. Kitchen: one shared full kitchen, center of the unit. Built as employee housing (industrialized building). A HUD-code version of this layout is listed separately.

Each room has an exterior door, a window, a PTAC for heat and air, and a bath with shower, toilet, and vanity. The kitchen sits mid-unit with its own exterior door, so crews can reach it without walking through anyone’s room. Two units side by side house a 10-person crew; ten units house 50.

Because the kitchen is shared, this layout works best for crews from the same company. For mixed contractors or long rotations where people want their own kitchen, look at the 4-suite units.

Price and availability

We do not post prices that change with freight, options, and stock. Ask for a delivered price to your county. The quote separates the unit, delivery, and set so you can compare it line by line with a lease or hotel plan. The buy vs. lease calculator shows the break-even once you have a number.

Delivery to your site

Units ship 16 ft wide as oversize loads from Texas. Before delivery, your site needs a level, drained pad with truck access, plus water, wastewater, and power at the pad. See what utilities a camp needs and how delivery and set work.

Common questions

How many people does a 16×76 5-bed crew unit house?

Five people in private rooms, each with a private bath. Some operators double up for short jobs; that cuts comfort and can affect code and inspection outcomes.

Is this unit HUD-code?

This version is a non-coded crew unit. A HUD-code version of the same 5-bed layout exists for sites that require a HUD label.

Is the 5 private rooms around one full kitchen unit in stock?

Stock changes weekly. Send the form and we will tell you if one is on the lot or what the next build slot is.

What does the price include?

We quote unit-only, delivered, and delivered-and-set prices separately so you can compare. Site work, utility hookups, skirting, and steps are listed as included or by others.

How many H-2A workers can this unit house in Texas?

Texas requires at least 100 sq ft per person of combined living, sleeping, and cooking space (10 TAC §90.4). On the 1,216 sq ft nominal footprint that is a ceiling of 12; the real limit comes from interior measurements, at least 50 sq ft of sleeping space per person, and the inspector’s decision.
