How fast can crew housing be delivered and set up?

Reviewed 2026-10-19 by the Workforce Housing Direct team

In-stock units can ship as soon as an order is signed and a truck is scheduled. Built-to-order units wait for a factory production slot, typically a matter of weeks. Setting a unit on a prepared pad takes about a day. The real schedule driver is usually site work: pads, water, septic or sewer, and power, which can take longer than the units.

Typical sequence

  1. Consult and size (days): bed count, mix, code, site
  2. Order (day 0): in-stock or production slot
  3. Site work (weeks): permits, pads, utilities. Start this the day you order
  4. Build (weeks, if not in stock)
  5. Deliver (days): wide-load permits and escorts
  6. Set and connect (about a day per unit): blocking, tie-downs, utility hookups
  7. Move in
