Owned crew units can be moved to the next project, sold to another contractor, camp operator, or investor, converted to rental housing, or kept for operations staff. Abilene's temporary park-model park, for example, was approved on the condition that units are removed when the need ends, leaving the land with upgraded utilities.
Plan the exit at purchase: transportable chassis, standard sizes, and HUD labels where allowed all widen the resale market.
